Smile Elonian Green Farming

For anyone who doesn't check their Guild Wars login page. There will be a triple green weekend for Elona coming up.

I was just wondering if anyone had found a good spot to farm alot of greens or at least a highly sought after green that can be easily farmed.

No idea what bosses these are applicable to, but here are some of andrewf's Elona ranger solo farming spots:

http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=426815

And a Deatheater Longbow wurm solo farm by Notorious BOB:

http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=430266

...and a couple Bubahl farming builds, again for ranger:

http://forums.gwonline.net/showthread.php?t=428708

(I'm just finding these while browsing through GWO's ranger forums, I'm sure you can find a lot more for the profession of your choice on your own.)

I don't plan on farming these Solo, Considering that the Triple Drop Weekend will allow for henchable farming. Also I am sure I won't have any trouble finding a few people who want to farm with me during the event if I need to.

Thank you very much to the individual that found it necessary to reply but does not want to share the information, so what else is new with your ilk?

I have taken great pains to experiment with farming and what nert started disseminating that it has to be 5 man teams and carry no greens or id kits or no hench LOL and step on a crack lolo.

I have had better SF green farming taking 7 hench and yes come to think of it always with an id kit carrying greens on me and just as rotten luck as can be had with 4 ppl teams.

It is all bad superstitions and that is it!! I have spent more hours experimenting than most people have playing the game. bs bs bs

It's all good!

I wouldn't expect to make much money off of this weekend. Green prices have been plummetting since the realease of nightfall, and this is only going to further drive down prices. I would bet on the price of any given weapon going down as much as 60-70%, considering that there will be 3x more in the market. That puts even the most expensive weapons in the 20k range, most under 10k (if you can even find a buyer).

Instead, save now to get the weapons you want for good prices.

I'm planning on dumping all of my Nightfall greens ASAP - even the ones i want - to avoid losing money, then buying them back this weekend for a reduced cost.

Yeah, the doubledrop for factions greens totally destroyed prices.

Yes, the rest is BS, but not having hench DOES make a diffrence.
henchies reduce your loot drop rate. This is not a "speculation", this is a game system fact.

outright lie, and easily refuted

(honestly this person is probably trying to start rumors to the contrary of how the drop assignment system works)

Fail. As long as the henchies are not in the area when you start damaging the boss, they do not take loot. I was farming a shield for my elementalist (if you have to ask...) and flagged my henchies somewhere else. Normally when I did these runs, flagging them by enemies would yield no drops for me because I was not in range when they were killing. standing there waiting for the boss to heal up, I got a purple axe.

Additionally, whenever I flag the henchies so they're out of range, and then solo the boss, I get around 4 drops from him. Sometimes they were all white, sometimes it was some whites and a gold, often times it was a scroll, salvageable armor, and some gold.

The boss has to be at full health and the henchmen names have to be greyed out, but it works.

Henchies only reduce drop rates when they're in range of whatever is dying.

So you're suggesting to take all the henchies (or, I presume, heros) you need to get near the boss, then get them out of the way while you kill the boss himself?

Is this Nightfall only or is it now in all the campaigns?

To farm my reduces cripple shield to hopefully combat You're all alone warriors on me, I took koss, dunkoro, and zhed. Then I grabbed two more monks, a paragon, and devona. I cleared out everything around the boss except the boss himself, then used the earth ele hydra farming build and spammed stone daggers until he was dead. Henchies were flagged elsewhere to not steal my loot. It should work in all campaigns as long as you can flag them and have heroes to help you out.

Another point, I do think however that if your henchy or hero dies near the boss and u leave him there then he has a chance of getting the drop. So, I always resurrect dead henchies and send them away, before killn boss.
